José Campos is a filmmaker and editor based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, he has lived in Argentina for nearly two decades, working across documentary, fiction, and promotional content. His work often explores themes of cultural identity, memory, and social transformation.
In 2015, he won the Bienal de Arte Joven with De Boca en Boca, a web series about international cuisine that spotlighted the cultural diversity of immigrant communities in Buenos Aires.
He has also spent several years working closely with the Bolivian community in Argentina, developing audiovisual projects that celebrate the richness of its folklore and reinforce cultural identity. His films are marked by a strong visual sensibility and an observational approach, often rooted in Latin American traditions and contemporary realities.
