I studied filmmaking at a prestigious Peruvian university, graduating in 2018. In my 6 years as a filmmaker, I worked mainly on advertising projects in Peru.
Between 2018 and 2021, I worked as a photographer on international cruise ships, tuning my eye when creating images through composition, while getting to know the world a little. This experience influenced my filmmaking projects.
In 2021 I made my first independent short film “Trainloop”, which successfully participated in some international festivals. Later I worked as an editor in a short film production company for social networks.
Currently, in 2024, I work at a prestigious advertising agency in Peru as a filmmaker producer and editor. In our client portfolio we have nationally recognized brands such as Otto Kunz and La Segoviana, as well as some real estate companies.
Likewise, making my first documentary with Art of Mastery “The Mask Maker of Paucartambo”, fills me with joy on an artistic and professional level.

Roel Seguil is an artist and artisan of Burilated Mates, a traditional ancestral Peruvian product.
Founder and CEO of “The House of Burilated Mates” in Huancayo; he inherited his love for this ancient art from his parents and ancestors, from whom he learned the trade.
After the death of his parents, he took over the reins of “The House of Burilated Mates” where he currently is dedicated to promoting and teaching the technique and production of Burilated Mates to new generations.
